2. Share a Romantic Ride
Disneyland’s attractions aren’t just thrilling—many are perfect for creating romantic moments. Here are some must-do rides for couples:
- Peter Pan’s Flight: Fly over London and Neverland in a private pirate ship.
- Mad Tea Party: Spin together in a vibrant teacup—bonus points for snapping a selfie.
- Toy Story Midway Mania!: Have a fun competition with each other while you ride through this ride inspired by midway games.
- Mark Twain Riverboat: Take a scenic cruise on the Rivers of America and enjoy a quieter moment for just the two of you.
3. Indulge in a Romantic Meal
Valentine’s Day calls for a special meal, and Disneyland has options that range from casual to extravagant:
- Blue Bayou: Dine under a starlit sky with views of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Their gumbo and filet mignon are perfect for a celebratory dinner.
- Carthay Circle (Located in California Adventure): This elegant restaurant features a menu of seasonal dishes and cocktails that elevate any romantic occasion. You also have the option instead of a meal at the restaurant, to grab a drink and appetizer at the Carthay Circle Lounge. Their food and cocktails are amazing and some of our favorites!
- Plaza Inn: For a more relaxed vibe, share their famous fried chicken.
- Napa Rose: Located in the Grand Californian, this fantastic restaurant is a great option for a Valentine’s Day meal. If you are able to, try and reserve the Chef’s table for an extra special experience.
Pro tip: Make dining reservations well in advance, as Valentine’s Day is a popular time for couples.
4. Visit one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels or Downtown Disney
Throughout the park, you’ll find plenty of Valentine’s Day-themed snacks and desserts, but you will also find several themed treats at the Disneyland Resort Hotels and Downtown Disney! Both of these areas also have fantastic restaurants where you and your loved one can grab a bite to eat. Some of our favorite treats include:
- Chocolate-covered strawberries at Candy Palace.
- Heart-shaped churros with a side of pink dipping sauce.
- The Mickey and Minnie limited-edition popcorn bucket
5. Capture the Moment
Seek out Disney’s PhotoPass photographers for professional shots and maybe a little pixie dust magic added in post-editing. Or take some selfies of you both as you explore the park. While there are no official Valentine’s Day backdrops or decorations, Sleeping Beauty Castle always makes for a great phot.
6. Watch a Fireworks Show
Disneyland’s fireworks displays are always enchanting, but they’re extra special on Valentine’s Day. Snuggle up with your partner as bursts of color light up the night sky. This year, Mickey’s Mix Magic will start at 9:30 PM Pacific Time. A prime viewing spot near the castle or along Main Street ensures a magical experience or you can also make your way back to Galaxy’s Edge to watch the fireworks from there. Galaxy’s Edge gives you a whole different viewing experience, having it’s own show, Fire of the Rising Moons. Fire of the Rising Moons also begins at 9:30 PM.

7. End the Night with a Sweet Souvenir
Before you leave, pick out a keepsake to remember the day. Matching Mickey and Minnie ears, a Valentine’s Day plush, or a custom ornament can serve as a memento of your Disneyland date. You can even grab a sweet treat to take home and enjoy the next day!
Bonus Tips:
- Arrive Early aka Rope Drop: Beat the crowds and enjoy the park before it gets too busy.
- Dress Festively: Coordinate your outfits with Disney-themed Valentine’s attire for extra flair.
- Plan a Surprise: Consider gifting your partner something special, like a customized pair of Mickey ears or a romantic note.
Spending Valentine’s Day at Disneyland is a fun experience! And while it’s not officially decorated for the holiday, your day can still be one to remember forever. So grab your prince or princess and let the magic begin!
