Book Review: The Sherlock Society by James Ponti

James Ponti, known for his middle-grade adventure novels, is back with The Sherlock Society, a fun detective story perfect for young readers who love mysteries and adventure. This new book introduces us to siblings Alex and Zoe Sherlock, who, inspired by their iconic last name, set up a detective agency for a summer job which of course ends up being an experience that is far more thrilling than babysitting or mowing lawns.

The story is filled with twists and turns, as Alex, Zoe, and their friends Lina and Yadi find themselves investigating a long-lost treasure linked to gangster Al Capone. Along the way, they uncover clues that hint at a much larger conspiracy involving corporate corruption. With the help of their retired-reporter grandfather and some cool gadgets, these young detectives dive into a mystery that will keep young readers hooked.

The Sherlock Society is a great read for kids who enjoy mysteries with clever plots and plenty of action.
